The Pilgrimage

This is a journey that begins from the Heart, the Heart willing to know itself. Through the journey of creation, through witnessing the cycles of light and dark, the Heart discovers itself as the Heart.

Our destination is not a faraway land. It is the very depths of our womb, our yoni, and the sacred path of the Heart. As women in form, we carry the weight of generations. Through this pilgrimage we delve into the dark yet fertile Womb of the Heart, uncovering a hidden treasure: pure potential. We come to a powerful realisation: I am the creator of my reality. And in this recognition, we ask: Who am I?

Foundations

The Heart and the Womb

Two centres, one current.

The Heart is Hridaya: the seat of consciousness, the inner sun, the most intimate "I." It is not awakened but reawakened through the journey of memory.

The Womb is the holographic image of the universe within our bodies, the convergence point of heaven and earth.

A holograph is an image in which the whole is contained in every part. Cut a holographic plate in half, and each half still contains the entire image. The womb is this kind of image: the whole cosmos written into a single organ. The macrocosm lives inside the microcosm. As the cosmos, so the womb.

When the heart and womb recognise each other, a third field is born: the Womb of the Heart, consciousness embodied.

Spanda and the Word

Spanda is the inherent pulsation of cosmic consciousness. In Kashmir Shaivism, hridaya (heart) and spanda (pulsation) are one. The Heart IS the pulsation, the divine creative tremor that animates all that is.

The Twin Mirrors

The yoni and the mouth are twin gates, two openings made of the same soft tissue, the same lips. The pelvic bowl and the jaw share an embryological origin. To soften the jaw is to soften the womb.

Each gateway also holds a more specific twin:

• Gateway 1: Clitoris ↔ Thymus
• Gateway 2: G-spot ↔ Thyroid
• Gateway 3: Cervix ↔ Amygdala

Sankalpa: The Guiding Light

Iccha Shakti is the power of will, the longing that sets the journey in motion. Sankalpa is this longing made conscious: a heart-resolution held with both clarity and softness. Not a goal to achieve, but a frequency to attune to.

Sit. Hand on heart, hand on womb. Ask: What does my deepest self long to become? Wait. Receive what arises. Hold it gently as a prayer.

The Three Lights of Creation

The first three gateways (Maiden, Mother/Lover, Crone) are the three lights of creation:

• Sristi Shakti (ascending light) — the power of birth and emergence
• Sthiti Shakti (sustaining light) — the power of nourishment and fullness
• Samhara Shakti (dissolving light) — the power of release and return

These cycle continuously through every menstrual rhythm, every moon, every season, every breath.

The Voices of the Goddess

The Goddess speaks in patterns, in the way the world arranges itself when we are listening.

Synchronicity — the meaningful coincidence. The Goddess speaking through the world to the part of you that already knows.

Resonance — the way one vibration awakens another. When something rings true in the deep places, that yes is the body's own knowing.

Correspondence — As above, so below. As within, so without. The cosmos and the body are one wheel.

The Five Bodies (Pancha Kosha)

The yogic instrument of witnessing. Five sheaths through which consciousness expresses itself. Each gateway is met through all five.

1. Annamaya — the food body. Notice: what is happening in my physical body?
2. Pranamaya — the breath body. Notice: how is my breath?
3. Manomaya — the mental body. Notice: what stories, what emotions?
4. Vijnanamaya — the wisdom body. Notice: what does my deeper knowing say?
5. Anandamaya — the bliss body. The "I AM" that holds it all.

The practice: Feel · Breathe · Witness · Discern · Rest.

Samskaras and the Subconscious

Samskaras are the grooves worn into consciousness by repetition, the imprints of past experience that shape our present reactions. They show up as beliefs, programs, and inherited patterns.

The practice is not to remove them. It is to see them. When a pattern is witnessed, it loses its compulsive power. Awareness itself is the transforming agent.

The pilgrimage is a spiral. Each revolution reveals a deeper layer.

The Feminine Cross

The Feminine Cross is the map. It is the cross within the circle, the cross crowned by the womb, the cross from which the rose unfolds. Egyptian ankh, Celtic cross, Rosicrucian rose cross, Native American medicine wheel, Tibetan dorje cross, the Sakti Cakra of Kashmir Shaivism. The same map, recognised by every tradition that ever honoured the Goddess.

It has two axes:

• Vertical: As Above, So Below — the kundalini axis, womb to heart to crown
• Horizontal: As Within, So Without — inner landscape to outer world, the two ovaries

At the centre, where the arms meet, is the still point: Gateway 8.

The first three gateways form the Triangle at the base. The next four form the Cross. The eighth is the Centre.

The Remembering and the Integration

The pilgrimage is not a journey to somewhere new. It is a journey of remembering what has always been here, and integrating what has been split apart.

The masculine and the feminine within. The light and the shadow. The body and the spirit. The Maiden, the Mother, the Crone. The four elements. The womb and the heart. None of these are at war. They have only been forgotten as one. The work of every gateway is to re-member: to put the members back together.

When the last veil falls, what is recognised at the centre is not new. It is the most familiar thing in the world. I AM. I have always been here.

The Eight Sacred Gateways

Gateway 1: The Maiden — The Ascending Light

The Maiden holds the quality of something new blossoming. She is the first impulse, the seed cracking in the soil, innocence and wonder. She is the yes the heart whispers before the mind has any words.

• What is my deepest longing, the one beneath all other longings?
• Where have I armoured my heart, and what am I protecting?

Gateway 2: The Mother/Lover — The Sustaining Light

Site: G-spot / Thyroid | Goddess: Mary Magdalene & Mother Mary | Season: Summer | Moon: Full | Mantra: OON-AH

The Mother/Lover is the seed essence of the Maiden blossomed into the full juicy fruit. She nourishes, sustains, holds, and births. Her womb power is not only for biological children; we are all mothers and lovers of our creations in life. This gateway holds two faces of the feminine that have often been split apart: Mary Magdalene, the lover, the wild devotee, and Mother Mary, the holy mother, the bearer of life. The Magdalene and the Madonna are not rivals. They are sisters. They are the same woman remembered.

Gateway 3: The Crone — The Dissolving Light

Site: Cervix / Amygdala | Goddess: The Black Madonna | Season: Winter | Moon: Dark | Mantra: SH-KA-RA

The Crone is wisdom, transformation, and the power of death-rebirth. She is the dark moon, the menstrual phase, the NO that protects the YES. She is the Serpent Goddess, the old skin shed so the new can be revealed. She is the Black Madonna, the underground mother whose face has been blackened by candle smoke and centuries of women weeping at her feet, who holds the grief and the rage and the menstrual blood that the lighter Mary cannot. She holds creation and dissolution as one.

Wounds: Manipulation · Power-Over · Pride · Coldness · Hierarchy · Spirit-Influence · Denial of the Body

Questions:

• What do I fear to let go of?
• What identity am I clinging to that has already died?
• Where am I performing spiritual maturity instead of living it?
• What grief have I refused to fully feel?

I know when to say NO.

Gateway 4: Earth — South

Direction: Lower Womb / HARA — South | Tanmatra: Smell | Mantra: AH-DOO-MA

The fourth gateway is the ancestral ground. We meet Pachamama, Mother Earth. We remember that we are not separate from the earth. We are of it.

This is the gateway of menstrual mysteries and lineage. The way we menstruate (the pain, the ease, the flow) can reveal what is hidden in our blood. Menstrual blood is concentrated lineage: 7 times the iron of regular blood, 30 times the calcium, full of stem cells and Ojas. The egg that became you was already present in your mother's ovary while she was still in her grandmother's womb.

Conscious menstruation becomes ancestral healing: witness, release, offer, receive.

For those who do not physically menstruate, through age, surgery, hormonal contraception, or any other reason, the moon phases offer the same doorway. At the dark and new moon, retreat the way a bleeding woman would: slow down, sleep more, listen for what asks to be released. At the full moon, celebrate, receive, let yourself be seen. The body still knows the rhythm even when there is no blood.

• What does my blood remember that my mind has forgotten?
• What am I carrying that belongs to my ancestors, not to me?

Gateway 5: Fire — West

Direction: Right Ovary — West | Tanmatra: Sight | Mantra: HE-RA-HOM

The fifth gateway is where sexual energy becomes sacred fire. Sexuality is not separate from spirituality. It is spirituality expressed through the body. As flame, Shakti burns away ignorance. As nectar, She nourishes with bliss.

When sexual energy is consciously sublimated, it transforms into Ojas (vital essence) and Tejas (radiant intelligence). The fire of sight is darshan, the recognition of the divine in another, the gaze that says: I see you. I see myself in you.

Gateway 6: Air — North — The Gateway of Individuation

Direction: Upper Womb — North | Tanmatra: Touch | Mantra: EL-LU-RA

The sixth gateway is the gateway of individuation, the work Carl Jung named as the central task of the psyche: becoming the unique self you were always meant to be, distinct from collective conditioning, yet paradoxically more whole and more in service of the larger life.

The ancient practice of smoke-gazing reveals it: you are not the smoke; you are the one who watches the smoke. Thoughts and emotions rise and dissolve. The consciousness that witnesses remains untouched. This is you.

Individuation is not isolation. It is forged through contact: every boundary, every truth spoken, every touch. I am here. The world is here. We meet. We part. And still, I remain.

Gateway 7: Water — East — The Dreaming Gate

Direction: Left Ovary — East | Tanmatra: Taste | Mantra: WA-LU-NA

Water is the element of remembrance, carrying the memory of all things. The seventh gateway opens the dreaming gate, where the boundary between waking and sleeping softens, and we hear the language of the inner ocean.

The woman has always been the Oracle. At Delphi, the priestess sat over sacred waters and the message came through her body. The cycle of the woman is itself an oracle, each phase a different chamber of seeing. The bleeding days bring visions the rest of the cycle cannot. To live with the cycle as oracle is not to override it but to listen.

Dream incubation: Before sleep, place one hand on the womb and one on the heart. Offer your question gently into the space between them. Let go. In the morning, before you rise, lie still and ask: What did I dream?

Gateway 8: Sacred Union — The Centre

Where Shakti Rises and Shiva Descends

The eighth gateway is the still point where the entire wheel turns, the centre of the cross, the rose at the heart of the rosary, the void from which all gateways emanate.

At the kanda (the bulb at the root of the central channel) sleeps Shakti. At the crown waits Shiva. When these two poles become magnetically active at the same time, when Shakti rises and Shiva descends, a single column of radiance awakens within the spine.

The heart becomes the chamber where the two forces meet. Their union births a third field: a fused awareness that is both embodied and infinite.

To pass through this gateway is to pass through death. Not physical death, but the death of identity, pattern, story, and separation. This is the great menstruation of the soul: the shedding of what no longer sustains life.

When the Chandra Mandala (lunar circle of the head) and the Surya Mandala (solar circle of the heart) merge, their light descends into the womb. The womb becomes clear ground again. From this clarity, the essential question arises, not as a concept but as a living vibration:

The pilgrimage is brought into the body through embodied practice.

• Sankalpa Setting — plant your seed, hold it gently as a prayer
• Pelvic Presence — bring awareness into the bowl of the pelvis
• Mula Bandha (root lock) — engage the pelvic floor, doorway to the kanda
• Yoni Mudra — the downward triangle, hands over the womb space
• Trataka — moon and flame gazing
• Mandala Dance — free movement responding to inner currents
• Shaking — discharging held tension and trauma
• Smoke Reading and Water Reading — shamanic divination practices
• Womb Bowl Ritual — 7 days of cleansing through sympathetic magic
• Moon Blood Rituals — anointing, earth offerings, lineage healing
• Self-Inquiry — Who am I? held lightly in the heart
• Five-Body Witnessing — moving through the koshas at each gateway

The Open Concept: Not every practice can be scripted. The Open Concept is the teacher's recognition that you are also a teacher: of yourself, by yourself, through your own direct relationship with the gateway. The given practices are doorways. You yourself must walk through them, in your own way, with your own body, in your own life.

The Great Remembering

The pilgrimage is not a becoming. It is a remembering.

The Spiritual Heart is not awakened but reawakened through the journey of memory. Spanda was always pulsing. Hridaya was always the Heart. The I AM was always here.

The eight gateways are the wonderment through which She remembers Herself.

Walk softly, like the rose. The rose does not strive to bloom. She opens because that is her nature. So too the Heart. She is already what she is becoming.
